11/11/2002 - Troubadour - Los Angeles, California

Okay, so it's been like 3 months since I last saw the guys. But it's amazing how the guys have been constantly changing and growing. I felt like their performance had gotten solid and they were v. relaxed. Probably has to do with more confidence cos they've been doing show after show since the summer. Rob's charisma is just astonishing as well as the growing varietions of his so-called "chicken dance." Phil's drum just toar the place down along with his glow in the dark drum sticks which were v. cool. They played all the songs off their debut album (except for Turn Out The Lights) and 2 instrumental songs, The Walls Get Smaller and New Instrumental. I don't think the audience were in to it as much since it was probably the first time they had heard most of the stuff (since the album hasn't been released in the US yet) But by the end of the show, a lot of people were dancing along which was awesome. I really can't explain how talented the guys are. You just have to see them for yourself. Guys, come back and play in Cali soon. We love you!
